I am a passionate enthusiastic Chartered Physiotherapist with over 26 years in practice.

I trained at St Mary’s Hospital, London, graduating in 1985 and worked in the NHS for around 10 years. I completed junior and senior rotational posts in several hospitals in London, before deciding to gain specialist experience in Neurology. I went on to work at The National Hospital For Neurology and Neurosurgery in 1987 and then gained a Superintendent post at Battle Hospital, Reading, heading up the Neurological Rehabilitation and hydrotherapy Unit. In 1991 I moved to The Royal Berks where I was Superintendent Physiotherapist in charge of Acute Medicine and Surgery/Neurology wards, which enabled me to further expand my clinical expertise.

I married in 1991 and worked part time in the NHS and private sector whilst my two young daughters were growing up. I then worked freelance in neurology/musculoskeletal private practice before establishing The Howard Clinic in January 2006.

I have studied a foundation course in Acupuncture, and am currently studying for a Diploma in Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) which I will complete in December 2011. I have also gained status as an Accredited Practitioner In The Sarah Key Method, which has been of enormous value in treating back conditions.

I hold monthly Physiotherapy training meetings to share our knowledge and maintain high standards of clinical practice.

I am immensely proud to have such a great team to work with, and our diverse skill mix allows us to offer our patients a wide variety of treatment options to maximize recovery from injuries and illness.

I am a passionate horse rider and owner of a beautiful Trakhner mare “Inka”, and I enjoy competing in dressage with her.
